IU Press to offer e-books on Kindle

Kindle IU Press and Amazon recently reached an agreement to make our books available through the Kindle Store. We plan to offer a robust collection of current and backlist titles on Kindle in the very near future and will add more content as new books become available.

IU Press joins other university presses, including Yale, Oxford, California, and Princeton, who have arranged to sell their books through Kindle, according to an Inside Higher Ed article.

“We are excited by the opportunity to partner with Amazon to offer electronic editions of our books for the Kindle,” says Kathryn Caras, Director of Electronic and Serials Publishing at the Press. “Our mission is to disseminate scholarship of global significance and lasting value, and this partnership is another way for us to achieve that mission effectively.”

As we begin to add more titles to Kindle, we'd like to hear from our readers about what books they'd like to see included. Please post your suggestions in the comments section below.
