Three IU Press authors to participate in 2012 Indy Author Fair; two others to receive Indiana Authors Awards

The 2012 Indy Author Fair will take place at the Central Library in downtown Indianapolis Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The free annual event is presented by the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award, The Indianapolis Public Library, and The Writers' Center of Indiana.

Three IU Press authors will take part in the "Meet the Authors" event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m in the Central Library's Clowes Auditorium: Monika Herzig, author of David Baker; Norbert Krapf, author of Songs in Sepia and Black and White; and Carrol Krause, author of Showers Brothers Furniture Company.

Dan Wakefield

At the event, IU Press authors Barbara Shoup and Dan Wakefield will also receive their 2012 Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Awards: Shoup has been named the award's Regional Author winner, Wakefield, its premier Lifetime Achievement recipient. They will be honored at an award dinner held in the atrium of the library that evening.
