Congratulations to author Ronald Grigor Suny for winning the Distinguished Contributions to Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies Award! Presented by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), this award honors senior scholars who have helped to build and develop the field through scholarship, training, and service to the profession.
Suny is Charles Tilly Collegiate Professor of Social and Political History and Director of the Eisenberg Institute of Historical Studies at the University of Michigan and Emeritus Professor of Political Science and History at the University of Chicago. He is author of IU Press's Looking toward Ararat and The Making of the Georgian Nation, and co-editor of Party, State, and Society in the Russian Civil War.
The award will be presented November 23 at the ASEEES Annual Convention in Boston.
