Special Guest Editors Adeleke Adeeko, Paul Tiyambe Zeleza, and Natasha Barnes
“War By Other Means”, a special issue of The Global South, examines the (post)modern nature of war. Following Carl von Clauswitz, guest editors Mike Hill and Tom Cohen suggest that we can no longer see war only in terms of time or nations, but must understand it as omnipresent in every aspect of human endeavor. The editors and contributors, then, seek to recognize the pervasive fluidity of contemporary violence in both visible and invisible actions. Featuring essays by Jan Mieszkowski, Jason Groves, Jody Berland, Angela Mitropoulos, Henry Sussman, Kevin Bell, Randy Martin, Warren Montag, and Robert Marzec, the journal examines war from rhetorical, ecological, domestic, literary, financial, and political angles.
