Journey along the 1928 route of the Lincoln Highway from the Ohio state line west, starting with light breakfast in Besancon, lunch in Fort Wayne, dinner at The Boathouse Restaurant in Warsaw, and dessert in Plymouth. Compete in a scavenger hunt, shop, and meet fellow travelers along the way.
The cost is $15 per carload for Indiana Landmarks members and $25/carload for nonmembers. This cost includes breakfast and dessert. The entire adventure, $35/member and $45/nonmember (individual, not carload), covers all meals. You can register for the event and purchase tickets here.
Then on July 26, the IPAPA artists travel to the Fairmount House in Madison, IN. The event takes place from 4 to 9 p.m. and features a guided stroll through Fairmount Cemetery, a visit the Cravenhurst Barn, and appetizers at the Queen Anne-style Fairmount House, overlooking downtown and the Ohio River. The Art Moderne Vawter-Irwin building hosts dinner and awards, followed by dessert in a cool factory-turned-law office. Tickets can be purchased online at $35 for Indiana Landmarks members and $50 for nonmembers.
