Marrying Out author Keren R. McGinity has several events scheduled for this month. McGinity’s book is a major breakthrough in understanding Jewish men’s experiences as husbands and fathers, how Christian women navigate their roles and identities while married to them, and what needs to change for American Jewry to flourish.
February 8
McGinity will appear at 10:00 a.m. at the Flemington Jewish Community Center in Flemington, NJ, where she will speak on intermarriage and continuity in 21st-century America.
February 17
There will be a meet and greet with McGinity from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble in Ann Arbor, MI. She will also hold a discussion about her book at this event.
February 18
McGinity will be a guest speaker for a Jewish Communal Leadership Program Class at the University of Michigan. This event will take place at 7:00 p.m.
February 19-20
On February 19, Temple Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor, MI, will host McGinity for a presentation on "Intermarried Jewish Men and Women of Valor in America" at 7:00 p.m. She will close her visit with a dinner February 20 at 5:30 p.m. Both events are open to the community and free of charge.
